Inner-City Teachers of Science

Inner-City Teachers of Science (ICTOS) was initiated in 1970 by a group of faculty members from Chemistry, Biology, Education and Physics, who met to discuss problems in the education of high school teachers of science. The four-year course of study for the development of teacher-scholars designed by Professor Herman Eschenbacher of Education and Professor Walter Massey of Physics became a standard interdepartmental program.
